Abstract Detail
Pteridological Section/AFS Zhang, Libing [1]. Comparison of evolutionary patterns of Dryopteris and Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae). As the largest two genera in the largest fern family Dryopteridaceae, Dryopteris and Polystichum are estimated to contain ca. 400 and 500 species, respectively. Phylogenetically, the two genera are relatively closely related. They both are most diversified in East Asia. However, the evolutionary patterns of the two are dramatically different.
